ASPEN AND THERMO ASPEN

The aspen sauna material does not emit resin and does not get hot to the touch, which is why it is the classic sauna room material. The wood is pale, soft and even in texture. Thermally modified aspen is the same material treated with heat and steam: the tone turns brown and the board holds its dimensions better as humidity changes.

Prices exclude VAT and delivery. The square metre price is calculated from the full width of the board. Wall panels are installed with the tongue overlapping, so actual consumption must be calculated from the covering width — it is listed with every product. Lead time and price depend on quantity.

SURFACES AND TONES

The same profile in two tones: aspen has the colour of freshly sawn wood, thermally modified aspen is brown throughout. Thermal modification colours the wood all the way through — it is not a coating and does not wear off.

INSTALLATION

Acclimatisation. Keep the material for at least 48 hours in the room where it will be installed.
Fasteners. In the sauna room use stainless (A2/A4) screws or staples. Bench boards are fixed from underneath, wall panels invisibly through the groove.
Air gap. Leave a 5–10 mm gap between bench boards so water runs off and the wood can dry.
Finishing. Sauna room wood is never painted or varnished. Bench surfaces can be treated with sauna oil or wax; thermally modified aspen needs no finishing.
